DON’T LET YOUR DREAM DIE WITHIN YOU
What is your dream? What do you want to achieve in life? Remember, a
dream is not only when you sleep but what is going through your mind, as
a Christian. Be conscious of the fact that you are responsible for what
you give your attention to. What you give your attention to will either
lead you to your dream or distract you from it. Since your focus is a
personal decision, pay any price to protect your dream because no one
else can do it for you. To protect our dreams, we must stop the language
or the vocabulary of the victim. Let your words become the photograph
of the future you desire, not the future you fear.
Consider the
case of Joseph in Genesis 37, 39-45. If Joseph had been overwhelmed by
his situation in the dry pit, he would have given in to despair. I mean,
his dream would have died in him. As a child of God, Joseph was not the
kind of person to be overwhelmed or carried away by what is seen. That
was why he did not lose his dream. Your dream cannot work by itself. By
believing in it, working towards it and staying focused on it, we make
it work and God makes it good. Be encouraged – when you step out in the
direction of God’s calling in your life, you will astonish yourself,
make a difference in your world and realise your dream! Don’t let your
dream die within you.
