Is AI Here To Help?

I have a tendency of watching old series and movies, because somehow, I believe that maybe at the time (many years ago) I may have not fully understood what was going on. So maybe, if I watch it now, I will be able to get a better understanding and finally enjoy the movie / series. I watched the series, EUREKA back in late 2000, and I loooved it. I love sci-fi movies and series. I watched again in mid 2010s and also recently, 2023. I was amazed at how technology that was not a reality back then is what we depend on these days. Did anyone watch DEMOLITION MAN back in the 90's? That was one of my favorite movies. I watched it again last year and maaaan, technology is just WOW. So, we all agree that technology is part of us, it always was, it just wasn't available in a large scale. Now that we have AI in many aspects of our lives, which part of it have you managed to use to your advantage? I started using ChatGPT when it was a buzz, and I must admit, it does serve a purpose. I am almost fully dependent on Grammarly. I recently came accross Leonardo.AI and I am hooked. I thought of many ways I can use these AI generated images for my work. And did you know, you can edit real pictures with AI on your photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop? At this point, I am not sure if AI is here to help or to make us lazy. But I must admit, I use AI whenever I can to make my work easier. My brain will only be dormant if I don't read books, I don't teach myself how to properly use the tools available to me, and if I don't do the simple day-to-day activities that make me human. AI makes mistakes that maybe a human being would not have made (see second image), but then again, AI is just beginning. Let's give it ten more years and maybe, just maybe, we will be able to know just how helpful or unhelpful AI truly is. XOXO Mamatembosafari
