Who is your enemy?

self reflection
How often do we stop to think about goals in life? How often do we set goals and reach them within the specified time? How often do we grieve for our unachieved goals, evaluate the reasons behind their non-achieval and swear to ourselves that we'll do better next time or we won't let the same obstacle stand in the way of us achieving our future goals?

How often do we pay attention to the reasons behind our failures? Are we the culprits or do we always see the need to blame external circumstances for our failures? How often are we really honest with ourselves about our own shortcomings so that we can work at them so as to become better?
If we pay close attention to our actions and our ways of life, we will certainly realize that we are our own worse enemy when it comes to not reaching our goals. We are the first obstacle along the way of our success. Be it fear, pride, too much confidence or lack of it, shifting blame, laziness, entitlement, etc.
We all know that we are powerful and we can accomplish anything we want to accomplish in this world. We just have to put our mind into it. But that doesn't end there. We need to stay focused on our goals. We need to research on what it takes to achieve our goals. We need to be resilient and not take no for an answer. When things don't look to be working in our favor, we need to go back to the drawing board and find out why we had that goal in the first place.

Knowing the WHY will keep you going especially if it comes from the right place. If God has given you passion for something then the WHY will always be clear. Because you will feel empty without achieving that goal. You will feel unfulfilled. And to make things even better, you always have God by your side making a way where there seems to be no way. Bringing the right people and opportunities in your life for your goals to be achieved. All you have to do is stay focused spiritually, mentally and physically so that you are able to see opportunities when they present themselves.
Do not tolerate being your own enemy. Clear any habit that may stand in the way of accomplishing your goals. Stay prayerful and God will help you get rid of those habits and give you a new ones that will work in tandem with available opportunities to achieve your goals.

With Love
