Hey'all,
So being a law student (4yrs now), i gotta appreciate the whole legal concept of issues. Obviously some laws are just there for the sake of being there and they are not really being put to use, but other laws (being very necessary for daily life) are being the sole reason for outside world to appreciate the strength of the legal system in a country.
I plan to be a lawyer not a liar, but who am i lying to, these two work perfect together (ssshhhh..i didn't say nothing).

In feb 2011, our department (MUSJ) has the opportunity to invite Dr. Labsang for a seminar on Indo-China. (He completed his B.A. (Honors) and LLB from Delhi University. In 1992, he was elected as the youngest executive member of the Tibetan Youth Congress (CENTREX). In 1996, as a Fulbright Scholar, he obtained Masters degree and in 2004, Doctorate in Law from Harvard Law School, the first Tibetan to receive this degree and his dissertation, Democracy and History of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile from 1959-2004 was awarded the Yong K. Kim' 95 Prize for Excellence. In 2005, he was granted waiver by the Department of Education to continue his academic work in the US.)

On 15th Feb 2011, the whole of Mysore University participated in SUVARNA MANASA EXHIBITION till 24th Feb 2011. Our department (Law dept) did a good job i think (though i didn't get to see what other departments had prepared. Big up to all participants of the exhibition in the Law dept.

ReplyDeleteMaybe u could do a post on comparitive laws of India n Tanzania. Maybe study some women-centric laws. N compare the Indian n Tanzanian laws. u know?
Thanx D, I think i should get on that. It sounds interesting. Plus it'll be useful when i do my law school back at home. I can't wait to start on that.
